James and Dorothy Wilson started Mighty Men Movers back in 2004 as a way to earn extra income to afford private schooling for their two sons. They also were excited about the opportunity to teach their young men how to work. It seemed natural to begin adding other young men to their team who desired mentoring, in addition to employment. It didn’t take long for moms to start seeking us out, asking if we had any openings for their high school or college-aged sons. Twenty years later, our sons have shifted into successful careers and our crews have evolved into a steady team of men and women who share the Wilsons' motto: Treat people — and their furniture — the way you would want to be treated and how you'd want your own furniture handled. That same line of thinking keeps Mighty Men Movers' prices fair.

The Wilson family's love of laughter and people shine through with each team addition. Crew members are selected with attitude and work ethic in mind first. Everything else is trainable. Even on the most difficult jobs, the crews work well together and still have a smile at the end of the day. 

James, called "Pops" by both those young and older on the teams, and Dorothy, known as "Mama Dot," coordinate relocations, ensuring Mighty Men Movers MS' customers receive the highest attention and care. The Wilsons have built a legacy through their sons that is still reaching and touching other young men who need guidance and direction. “We’re not just moving furniture; we’re building mighty men,” the Wilsons say.
